Bachelors' and Spinsters' Ball, a very enjoyable party usually held in rural areas; Ball held for Bachelors and Spinsters, singles crowd, often held in the bush or remote location and often involving copious amounts of alcohol; dance held for young people in country areas, in a wool-shed or out in the open, patrons dress in formal clothing, and generally sleep outdoors. Circle work - the creation of circular patterns on the ground with the back wheels of the patrons' utes or cars - is an obligatory ritual.
